In less than 18 days I'll be taking my first trip on an airplane. It won't be a short trip either. It is going to be a long trip all the way across the country to San Diego, California for the BlogHer '11 Conference. I'm so excited about the trip it is hard for me to sit still and I just can't stop talking about it.
The conference is a great place to meet other bloggers, learn more about the blogging world and network with other women from around the world in a fun and relaxed setting. Not only will I be flying for the first time, but I'll be meeting up with the awesome Lindsay Maddox who writes about her crazy and sometimes chaotic life on her blog Silly Mom Thoughts. I met Lindsay online a few years ago when I began my writing journey into the world of freelance and now thanks to the people of Twin Trinity Media and the Accentuate Writers Forum I'll get to meet her in person. We'll actually be rooming together at the conference. I hope she doesn't mind that I snore! Actually, I'm not sure we'll actually sleep for the 2 days of the conference so snoring probably won't be a problem.
August is going to be a really interesting and crazy month for me. First there is the mega-awesome BlogHer conference, then when I come back I'll be heading out to New York for my friends wedding, and as if that weren't enough things to keep me busy, I'm going back to college to finally get my degree!
Oh, and I'm going to somehow manage to do all this while raising my boys, keeping up the house, writing blog posts, cooking dinner each night, and attempting not to miss an episode of Hell's Kitchen or Master Chef. I think I can do it!
